Are Baby Wipes Safe to use on Dogs?

Is it safe to use baby wipes on my dog? I always keep a pack in the car for wiping my dog’s muddy paws after a walk, but a friend said I should buy grooming wipes specifically for dogs. Is this true?

This is a great question. The simple answer is that, for me, it completely depends on which ones you use. As a rule of thumb, I would only ever use the wipes that are unscented and that use natural ingredients. Some may have alcohol or stringent cleaning chemicals and so I would steer clear of those as much as possible. For ears and any area that has an opening into the body, it’s probably sensible to use a pet-labelled product. There are lots of these to choose from on the market. Have a shop around. Don’t forget, the less smelly they are, the less chance of an allergy flare-up
